Docuseries episodes

The following docuseries episodes were produced and written for Hook, a docuseries that uncovers how some of the world’s biggest companies were built and succeeded against the odds. Through investigative research, each episode traces a founder's upbringing, influences, motivations, challenges, and lessons learned. It also provides an in-depth analysis of their industries and competitors—without the fluff and jargon found in most media.

In 2020, I took over the channel as the lead producer and sole writer. Within 18 months, I grew subscribership from 2,000 to over 700,000, increased views to more than 100 million, and set a studio record with a video that reached 13 million views. These achievements helped Hook build a dedicated following and secure sponsorships from leading brands such as Shopify, The Hustle, and Morning Brew.

I also grew the team to include several writers, researchers, and video editors and secured interviews that led to exclusive stories. Among them are how Frito-Lay executive Arch West secretly founded Doritos in an off-site facility with his own funds after the idea was rejected by his colleagues, and Leaf Brands CEO Ellia Kassoff's arduous quest to bring back the once most popular cookie, Hydrox—from recreating the original recipe to battling the corporate giant and owner of Oreo, Mondelez.
